Live Edge Solid Texas Pecan Headboard with Cantilevered Nightstands

When designing their remodel for a new Master Suite, my clients wanted a dramatic, oversized headboard that would be the focus of the bedroom. I suggested Texas Pecan for it's gorgeous figure and rich range of color. I selected two book-matched, live edge slabs that provided the drama they were looking for. The crack o the left side is made stable with two Japanese Bowties. Fun fact: The mill removed 30 bullets from these boards before flattening and gave them to me. I polished up three of the largest, and put them back in before doing the epoxy work. The clients loved it, and now have created their own Texas Ranger stories to go with his new piece!

The nightstand boxes hang from the headboard on French cleats. The drawer parts are all solid Pecan, with dovetailed boxes.
